This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 22, 2008:
a place I've never been before
a place I've been many times
does art come from work or from play? or from playful work?
the artist that appeals to me most lately is mother nature. she knocked my socks off just this morning while I was discovering a brand new place so close to my old usual places. :-)

So much beauty close by. The colours int he 3rd photo are so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your view this morning. (((hugs))
I love getting to see through your eyes.
Mother Nature is the best…. :):):):):):):)
i like those roots.
Thanks for sharing natural beauty reminding us it is right in front of us and to just look. My favorite artist too… :-)
That's fantastic. I just love it! Sherrilene
All I ever want to do, really, is go out and sit in nature. I mean sit, down on the ground, back against a tree, quiet the storm in my head the drivenThinkingDoingRushing mind. So I can listen. And see.
Yes! Art comes from playful work. The exquisite joy at work in those slow-growing arcing roots, the eons taken to wear smooth and perfect a river rock. The work of the trees rising, grasses blossoming. Wow. The sun shining on the very tips of the tree tops.
Is this not sacred art? Works of art to be revered and appreciated and embraced in the utmost of appreciation and joy! After all, the line of demarcation where nature ends and we begin…doesn't exist. Oneness, rather, in love and beauty.
Wonderful :)
wow!! hi everybody. thanks for stopping by mother nature's gallery opening even though we didn't have any champagne or caviar…. those deep lungfulls of fresh, cool air are all we needed to attract some of this kind of art collectors, eh? I just giggled because I do know how dorky I am. I explained to my husband on the phone this morning when he called me a dork for talking about quantum entanglement that he only calls me a dork because I'm THAT cool. :-)
I love you all. thanks for coming over to play.

“the line of demarcation where nature ends and we begin…doesn't exist” – so true willow. I love all of what you wrote. you saw exactly what I saw. :-)
this reminds me of one of my favorite artists – andrew goldsworthy – whose art is such a perfect blend of nature and human
andrew is incredible, isn’t he!
