How do you allow for expansion in your life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 07, 2008:
I think poetry helps. and art. and yoga. and sleep. and dreams. and hugs. and kisses. and yawns.

I think the sky helps. and rain. and sunshine.
curiosity may have killed the cat, but it keeps this girl alive. and smiling.
I think expansion is best when balanced by contraction -- like breathing -- inhale (expand lungs) exhale (contract lungs). like sleeping is nicely balanced by waking.
an empty space can be an invitation. a goodbye can be a hello too.
I don't know if I allow for expansion or if if simply happens with or without my permission and I just have a choice of acceptance or resistance. :-)

dawn, I think you're on to something here, what a nice read, I've been nodding & smiling my way through.. this cat thrives on curiosity too, miauv! <3
hi gorgeous tara. so glad you could visit. your comment made me smile and your new photo too. :-)
It's all about balance. yes. a tough walk for me sometimes but what you posted resonates for me very much. smiles to you, Dawn. I'm glad you're around.
“curiosity may have killed the cat, but it keeps this girl alive. and smiling.”
And that made me smile too. :)
Mind you, if I were a cat I'd've spent my nine lives long ago…
On a more serious note: What keeps us from expanding is fear, isn't it? Everytime I'm able to remove some of my fear (through poetry, music, hugs or chocolate biscuits), I expand. But then a most interesting thing takes place: The room created by expansion is automatically filled with joy (if you let it)!
Funny old thing, life. :)
laura – thank you for the smiles and I'm so glad you're around too!
wonderer – you are absolutely right. fear constricts. next time you feel fearful, check out your breathing – fast and shallow most likely. deep inhales and exhales can lead to bliss/joy.
funny old thing life – yes. :-)
