synonym for light
she is wilder than the geese who fly south in the winter
she has an easy smile, a hearty laugh, a witty way
she is always ready for an adventure
near or far, night or day
she invites me, she inspires me
she knows well the paths to deep play
her heart is strong, her mind is agile
together they are as wide and as open as the sky
her imagination is epic
she tells those stories of mythical creatures
& hero's journeys under the moon
she is the muse & the art
she is the music & the artist
she is the morning & the evening
she is the midnight and also the sun at noon
who can she be who is all these things? you ask me
you know her too. oh yes, you do.
she is there in you. she is here in me, too.
she is us. she is we. she is she. & possibly, maybe, even, she is he. ;-)

Help

I know the she in you can make my heart do lil twirls of joy. oh yes. <3
Did you write this? It is amazing! Can I quote this? There was a show on CBC today about the phenomenon of the “third man,” which was the author’s rather awkward way of what you are writing about here in a far more subtle and beautiful way. Lovely, simple, lovely.
yes. I wrote this after yoga last night, right after I commented on your blog miss otter. :-)
it’s for you and tara and jeannie - willowinthewind and jeannie-tinkonthebrink and my mom and peridot and farland and my sister and dyani and ginny and tsuya and b.b. and meenakshi and kate and my grandmother and…… and elizabeth alexander the poet and michelle obama and my friend michele powers and my friend michelle weaver and…… and….. kiley and sarah and tammie and raine and simone and…..
adam was looking over my shoulder when I was writing it – he said – oh, she’s farland and I said, not exactly, but yes and he shaped the writing of this poem by commenting and it became about him too. and some other he’s I know. :-) albert…. :-)
yes, you may quote it. you may print it and share it and derivative work it all you want.
you all are my muses and my music. you make me cry tears of joy.

I had crawled back, far back in my cave, sulking because the rain has stopped and oh how we need the rain….
And then I found this place these words! And suddenly I am soaring wing-tip to wing-tip in an incredible sweet morphic field of oneness, a flock of travelers and visionaries, all dipping and soaring and diving in JOY. Yes! in deep play. This poem is music; I want to dance out its beat, weave it into a shimmering garment rippling in the breeze, sail it over to Orion for a visit perhaps a cup of tea.
HOW you nourish my heart, breathe air back into my lungs. A thousand bows of gratitude, and appreciation, and love…so much love.
Beautiful!
willow — YOU are an amazing poet. every time I see words that you have typed on this site, I am bowled over at your eloquence and style and love. thank you so much for being here and commenting. I love to read your comments over and over because they are so beautfiul. that is true of so many on this site.
it occurred to me this morning as I read some quotes that I had written down, years and years ago, from Rob Brezsny’s free will astrology column, that you all, on gaia, and others in my physical world, ARE indeed my “tribe of kind-hearted tricksters who love to surprise each other….” this made me incredibly happy.
I will try to upload the scanned page with these pilfered from Brezsny saying on it. it always makes me smile.
and silke - I didn’t see your comment until after I posted this other comment.
thank you. I love seeing your lovely face here. :-)
I agree with you, Dawn; she is a poet. But you BOTH have this enormously beautiful capacity to write the beauty and sensitivity of the world in words. Thank you both soooo much, Jeannie & Dawn!!
